Tip One
Points to consider when selecting a lipstick shade
- Is your colouring warm or cool?
- Correct colour selection can appear to whiten and brighten the teeth.
- Ideally thinner lips will look better using medium to paler shades.
- Fuller lips are enhanced by using medium to deeper shades.
Moist crème lipsticks with depth will give you the desired results.
|
Tip Two
Eyebrow Tip
Shape your eyebrow line, beginning in line with the inside corner of the eye, peaking just outside the line of the iris and ending no more than 1cm from the corner of the eye. All fine hairs (dark or blonde) from above and below brow line should be removed by waxing or tweezing.
- Long eyebrows will create a tired, droopy appearance.
- Thin, sparse eyebrows create a vacant or permanently startled look.
|
Tip Three
Eyebrow Colour Tip
The use of brow powder and old dry mascara replaces eyebrow pencils because:
- Pencils create a harsh, artificial and older appearance.
- Body temperature causes pencils to melt, run and smudge.
- Rounding the beginning of the eyebrow detracts from the nose.
Brow Powder
If you have any bald patches, simply use a powder eye shadow to fill in the gaps.
- Apply by using a stiff angle brush and brushing through brows, using short, feathered strokes.
- Match as close as possible to your natural brow colour.
Some suggested shades are EL, EL5, D1, D2, L2 and Mocca.
Old Mascara
Wipe your old mascara to ensure it’s not too moist and gluggy and gently run it upwards through your brow hairs along your brow line.

Tip Four

Focusing on the windows to your soul.

- To focus attention into your eyes.
- To give your eyes and face a lift.
- To create an attractive, natural and youthful look.

Answer
It may be fashionable, but how can any specific colour suit everyone! The blues, greys and greens are particularly aging.

Pearl or frosted eye shadows are flattering.
Answer
Only when you are very young. As you age, these shadows will accentuate any lines and wrinkles.
Myth Four
Eye shadows are a feature.
Answer
Your eyes are the feature! You want people to look into your eyes, not at the colour around them.
